Receptionist

Mary is our loving and sweet receptionist who cares for patients and owners equally. She’s always smiling and laughing, which is a just a small reflection of her sunny personality. She loves the family environment at Hutto Veterinary Clinic and our vision to always improve as individuals and a team. She says one of her favorite parts of the job is how our clinic focuses on truly looking out for the clients.

Mary has a soft spot for rescuing senior dogs. She started with JD, a handsome lab mix. She spent 1.5 years with JD before he passed and was only able to go 2 weeks without another senior in her life.  She says she is passionate about rescuing older dogs because they have a very low chance for adoption once they reach the shelter. She likes to make their golden years their best ever, giving them the best care she can for as long as she has them.

Mary was born in South Korea and raised in Rochester, NY. She received her BS in Biology from Clarkson university. After college, she moved to NC where she worked at a veterinary clinic in North Carolina for 3 ½ years. When Mary moved to Summerville in February of 2019, she was determined to find another job in the veterinary field. She is considering pursuing her licensure as a Licensed Veterinary Technician one day.

When she is not at work, Mary enjoys taking care of her 4-legged family, powerlifting and going to new restaurants and breweries. She is motivated by her favorite quote – “Clipped wings will never hold us down” from Dancing with the Devil by Krewella.
