Dear Hutto Veterinary Clinic Family,
We are writing with an update on our clinic hours. You may or may not know that there is a severe shortage of workers for the veterinary field. This has resulted in clinics turning clients away, longer wait times to get in and overall burn out for those in the profession.
We are happy to report that we have continued to accept new clients, we are usually able to get pets seen relatively quickly and we want to continue to do that. We are changing our hours to help us to be more efficient.
Beginning next week, August 11, we will be closed on Wednesdays. This is to allow our staff time to address our own home lives and to be able to focus better on patient care the other 4 days of the work week. We are able to handle more appointments and drop-offs as well as work-in emergencies when we have a balanced life outside of work. It is our goal to prevent burnout and help our staff feel renewed in our efforts to increase our caseload the rest of the week.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you and we are happy to work around schedules to get your pet in the other days of the week. The mental well-being of our staff is a priority so that our patients can be our priority when we are here. Thank you for understanding and supporting us during this difficult time for the profession.
